On Sunday night, during strong winds and rain in the Civil Lines area of North Delhi, a huge branch of a tree fell on a cyclist. The cyclist was badly injured in the accident. His family took him to the nearby Parmanand Hospital in a critical condition, where he was declared dead. The deceased has been identified as Anees (50).
The police handed over Anees’ body to the family after post-mortem at Sabzi Mandi mortuary on Monday. The police is investigating the case with the help of CCTV footage installed nearby. Senior police officials say that further action will be taken based on the facts after investigation.
